Student Awards & Prestigious scholarships 2018

Adam Weissman, a Ph.D. student at Dr. Adi Salomon’s lab, received the Best poster presentation award from both the Israel vacuum society in September 2018, and at the Nano Israel Conference in October 2018; Poster title: ”Spatial Confinement of Light onto a Flat Metallic Surface using Hybridization between Two Cavities”.

Anna Kremen, a Ph.D. student at Prof. Beena Kalisky’s lab, received the Best poster presentation award at the Nano Israel Conference in October 2018; Poster title: “Mapping quantum fluctuation near the superconductor-insulator transition”.

Dr. Manoop Chenchiliyan from the Fixler Lab was awarded scholarship for Excellent Postdoctoral Students by Israel’s Council for Higher Education.

Racheli Ron, lab manager and Ph.D. student at Dr. Adi Salomon’s lab received the Clore Scholarship for Excellence in Ph.D. studies.

Dr. Sara Del Mare-Roumani, a postdoc researcher at the Yissachar lab, was awarded the prestigious travel scholarship at the Sixth Annual Broad-ISF Symposium at Cambridge, MA. 

Shira Roth is a Ph.D. student at Dr. Amos Danielli’s lab who received a three-year scholarship from the National Foundation for Practical and Engineering Science at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Space.
