Bar Ilan's Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA) has accepted to be a full member in the consortium of the International Network for Sustainable Nanotechnology (N4SNano)

This is a consortium of leading organizations in the field of nanotechnology representing institutes, universities, non-profit and governmental agencies. Among the founders of the consortium can be found the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) in Canada, MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology from the Netherlands, the University of Sydney Nano Institute (Sydney Nano), and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Sydney Nano as well as CNSI (the nano institute of UCLA) already collaborating with BINA during the last 4 years. The purpose and focus of N4SNano is to promote discovery and advancements in nanotechnology and applications as key mechanisms for sustainability – to bring positive and impactful solutions to society in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG).

BINA takes part in the preparation and will participate in June 2022 Global Summit “Nanotechnology for a Healthier and Sustainable Future”. The two-day world summit will deal with Health and Wellbeing, focusing on Digital Health and AI Diagnostics, and Nanomedicine. This summit will be preceded by a day for the virtual launch event in February for gain early access to the international conversation of nanotechnology as it applies to health and wellbeing.
